Rafael Nadal Basks in the Mallorca Sun
It’s been one heck of a year for Rafael Nadal, with wins at the French Open, Queens Club, and Wimbledon. And now he’s enjoying some much-deserved time off.
The tennis ace was spotted splashing in the beautiful Spanish seaside yesterday accompanied by his beautiful girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello and a few friends. At one point they all boarded a boat to take a joyride around the coast.
Prior to his beach outing, Nadal received a hero’s welcome as he returned to his hometown of Manacor on the Spanish island of Mallorca. Long considered the #2 man in tennis, his win over Roger Federer on Sunday has given him new perspective.
Still, Rafael hasn’t let things go completely to his head. He told press that he’s still “working with the same level of humility” and praised Federer as “the best player in history.”
