Pete Wentz Grammyless Because of Ashlee Simpson?
Pete Wentz wasn’t ambiguous about his disdain for this year’s Grammy Nominations. Given that his platinum-plus-selling band Fall Out Boy went unmentioned was, admittedly, a bit peculiar. And now his bandmates are reportedly placing the blame on Wentz’s chick, Ashlee Simpson.
The “La La” singer has apparently tarnished Fall Out Boy’s reputation among music critics as a result of her association with the Clandestine Industries bassist.
Ever since her infamous Saturday Night Live lip-synching disaster, Ashlee hasn’t exactly been highly-regarded among industry big wigs.
An inside source told press, “Grammy voters are fed up with Ashlee after she was caught lip-synching. And her relationship with Pete has definitely affected public opinion of the band.”
And nothing unifies like a common enemy… the other 3 members of FOB have ganged up against Simpson’s relationship with Pete. “The guys in Fall Out Boy are furious. They think everything Ashlee touches is poison, and they really want her to stop touching Pete!”

Ok… This just ticks me off… Why should Ashlee Simpson influence the way the so-called “Grammy Voters” think about Fall Out Boy and Pete Wentz. I too think they deserve a Grammy nom. But just because Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson are dating shouldn’t make a difference. The Grammy’s are not about who is dating who, it’s about the music!!! And reading this makes me want to start up a petition for removing this “voters” and having actual FANS vote. Like it should be. Why have people who just sit on their a**es all day and read gossip magazines decide who gets a nom and who doesn’t. It should be the fans choice.

I completely agree with Sarah! After reading this I was SOO mad and I wanted to write tons about it, but she said it all. It’s REALLY not fair!

I am not a fan of Ashlee and Pete’s relationship and you can conclude that I don’t like her but this is too much. It’s really not fair to blame Ashlee about the Grammy. I was really devastated to found out that Fall Out Boy didn’t get nominations and I beg to disagree with these “voters”. Great music is produced from true people who loves music. And this is what Fall Out Boy’s been doing ever since I’ve heard of them. Blaming it on to Ashlee is really low. We know about her issues but that’s only hers and hers alone. Is it Fall Out Boy who caught lip-synching? No!

okay the stuff about the rest of the band say that ashlee is the reason they not getting a grammy is BULLSH*T!ok i dont like ashlee but me a big fan of FOB knows patrick,andy,and joe wouldnt say that this is just more rumors dont belive this sh*t
