Penelope Cruz With Kylie Minogue’s Ex, Martinez

After announcing their split, Kylie Minogue and Olivier Martinez have been getting on with their new separate lives.

Martinez hasn’t wasted much time. Barely 12 hours after the breakup was announced, he was spotted with Hollywood actress Penelope Cruz.

The two were seen cozying up at West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel, which just so happens to be the place where he first met Kylie.

As reported just days ago by The Gossip Girls, Kylie and Olivier released a joint statement through their management saying the decision to separate was mutual and that the two would remain close friends.

Martinez had been linked to several other women, but the pair said in their statement that “false accusations of disloyalty” had saddened them both.

Nearly 12 hours after the split announcement was made public, Martinez, 41, and Cruz, 32, were spotted kissing and hugging at West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel.

Although Kylie has been enjoying some male attention (one of her admirers is the British comedian David Walliams), the pictures published in The Daily Mirror of Cruz and Martinez hugging, would definitely hurt her. She is definitely not too happy about the way Martinez is handling the whole situation.

A close friend of Kylie’s revealed to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Kylie is a very sensitive woman who loved him with all her heart, but he looks like he doesn’t have a care in the world.

“He clearly isn’t worried about her feelings. He approached Penelope seconds after she had sat down to have lunch with her friends.”

According to The Sunday Mirror, Martinez is the one who broke up with Kylie on the phone. Martinez wept to his parents, Rosemarie and Robert, in France after calling Minogue, who was in Mexico, to end their relationship on Friday morning.

“I still feel for her but I’m no longer in love with her,” the French actor reportedly told his parents.

“We have been having a lot of rows. We have outgrown each other,” he added.

Martinez’s mother was quoted by the newspaper as saying she and her husband were “devastated” because of the split.

“It is terrible and we hoped they had a future together,” she told the paper.

“Olivier was dreadfully upset.”
