Penelope Cruz Promotes “Elegy” in Madrid

Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz has hopped back on the promotional trail for her new Isabel Coixet directed drama “Elegy”.

Wearing a shiny purple blouse with a long black skirt, the 33-year-old Bandidas actress was in Madrid on Wednesday (April 16) attending a photocall and posing for photographers.

The film will first be released in Spain on this Friday (April 18), then seeing its debut in the States during the Tribeca Film Festival on April 29th.

A synopsis of the movie tells: “Cultural critic David Kepesh finds his life - which he indicates is a state of ‘emancipated manhood’ - thrown into tragic disarray by Consuela Castillo, a well-mannered student who awakens a sense of sexual possessiveness in her teacher.”

Meanwhile, on a more personal matter, tabloid reports are claiming that Cruz’s actor boyfriend Javier Bardem’s mother Pilar is encouraging her son to make the relationship official.

A pal told: “Pilar took her son aside and told him, ‘What’s the matter with you? She’s perfect! You love her, she loves you. Get married.’”
