Patrick Swayze: On the Mend?

Things are looking up for Patrick Swayze and his 20-month battle against deadly pancreatic cancer.

A photograph of the “Dirty Dancing” star came out last week of Swayze in his car in L.A. and the 56-year-old looks like he may be recovering.

According to witnesses, his face is much fuller and his hair appears to be back with long sideburns and a goatee. With a fresh new look, it seems the actor is still not kicking old habits, as he was spotted with a cigarette.

Since finding out that he had cancer back in January 2008, Swayze has been very upbeat, being strong and optimistic. Among the good and bad news in the past year he had improvements and setbacks, including pneumonia in the beginning of this year.

But fighting back he says, “I am alive and plan on staying that way,” which he has proven in the photo.
