Patrick Swayze Hopes for the Best

Earlier this week it was announced that Patrick Swayze is suffering from pancreatic cancer. But with his positive attitude and the best doctors money can buy, he’s clinging to the hope that he can beat the disease.

The “Ghost” stud is still maintaining his normal schedule, with a few projects scheduled to be released in the near future. One of which is the new A&E network drama titled “The Beast.”

A rep from A&E told press that “The Beast” is, "in contention to become one of the new drama series on the network. However, at this time all of our thoughts are solely with Patrick and his family. We are all wishing for a speedy recovery to a truly gifted actor."

The 55-year-old actor will also be appearing in the forthcoming Jessica Biel/Forrest Whittaker film “Powder Blue” later this year.

According to Patrick’s doctor he has, "a very limited amount of disease and appears to be responding well to treatment."
