Patrick Dempsey: Ready for Race Weekend
While he shot to stardom as Dr McDreamy on the hit show “Grey’s Anatomy,” Patrick Dempsey’s true love isn’t being behind the cameras, it’s being at the race track.
And earlier today (January 21), the Grey’s hunk was spotted readying to satisfy his need for speed, jetting out of LAX Airport on his way to Daytona, Florida.
Once arrived in the sunshine state, Dempsey will have a little time to practice before getting behind the wheel for the Rolex 24 on Saturday as the owner of Dempsey Racing, his new Grand-Am Series team.
“We only have five guys, but we work hard and laugh a lot,” Dempsey said of his squad. “Joe Foster leads the team and is my co-driver and without him and his ability to lead people, we couldn’t get it done.”
During the race, Dempsey is said to be sponsored by Avon, as he’ll be promoting breast cancer awareness through their charity walks.
