Paris Hilton’s Special Prison Treatment: Under Review
Most likely, Paris Hilton wants to put the whole prison ordeal behind her. But it looks like it won’t be fading into the distance as quickly as she’d like.
Yesterday, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department began investigating Paris’ treatment during her stay in the county jail. There is an internal probe seeking to answer some key questions regarding the heiress’ days behind bars.
One questionable practice in the dispute was that Paris was issued a cordless phone to call her friends, instead of having to wait in line and use a pay phone at designated hours, according to sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore.
They will also be investigating the claim that Paris was issued a brand new uniform when she entered the facility, rather than the recycled outfit that is usually given to inmates. Another dispute surrounds whether a captain was designated to deliver the Simple Life star’s mail, instead of inmate trustees.
“We’re going to investigate it and get to the bottom of it and find out exactly what happened,” said Whitmore. But you gotta wonder if the LA County Sheriff’s Department might better spend their time investigating things that actually matter!
