No New Year’s Party for Lindsay Lohan

For those of you really looking forward to partying it up with Lindsay Lohan this New Year’s Eve, you may want to make other plans.  She won’t be hosting a party.

That’s right, the “Mean Girls” actress has canceled her gig as the host of club Pure’s New Year’s bash in favor of continuing to pursue her sobriety.

And while it was quite a surprise when she canned her 21st birthday festivities earlier this year, it wasn’t really a shocker this time around.  Last week a source close to Lohan told press, “Lindsay doesn’t necessarily want to host but she’s contractually obligated.”

And today it went from “not wanting to” to “not doing it.” LiLo’s rep told press, “Lindsay will no longer be hosting New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas,” as she “continues to focus on her work and sobriety.”
