No Jury Duty For Madonna
It’s something we all hate with a passion: getting summoned for jury duty. And it looks like not even the Material Girl was above being recruited to serve her civil duty.
Madonna was spotted reporting for jury duty Monday at the Beverly Hills Court House, sipping a Starbucks beverage and text messaging on her mobile phone.
The “Like a Virgin” singer sported a dark brown velour Juicy Couture warm-up suit, along with her celebrity sunglasses, running shoes and, of course, a Juror badge.
After some time at the courthouse, “Madonna was denied the chance to mete out justice when the day’s only panel was chosen and she wasn’t on it,” reports the Chicago Sun Times.
Jury duty aside, Madonna has been keeping herself busy working on her 11th studio album, which is due to drop April 29th. According to her producer Nate “Danja” Hills it’s gonna be a good one.
Hills told press, “She wanted up-tempo, dance, club music, and for everything to have a hip-hop underlining. She would just come in, sit in her chair in the corner and just vibe with us. She was very down-to-earth, very cool person, very easy.”
