Monday, February 25, 2008 “No Country for Old Men” Wins Movie of the Year
When the flashbulbs fade away, and the pomp and circumstance die down, the only thing that really matters is: Who won an Oscar? In the category of “Best Picture” it was none other than “No Country for Old Men.” The neo-western flick was honored with the top award at the 2008 Academy Awards on Sunday Night at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California. And it didn’t stop there- Directors Joel and Ethan Coen took home the Oscar for Best Director, as well as Best Adapted Screenplay.
With competition from the likes of “Juno,” “Michael Clayton,” “There Will Be Blood,” and “Atonement” the victory must be that much sweeter.

COMMENTS no country for old men is unassumingly clever, even funny at times… what happens next is always unexpected and yet it never goes “over the top.” well done indeed. Posted by on 03/11 at 10:32 AM
