Nicole Richie’s Dehydration Hospital Visit

Socialite and actress Nicole Richie was taken to hospital after falling ill on the sets of her reality series ‘The Simple Life’.

A close friend of Richie’s disclosed that she started feeling dizzy after 20 hours of non-stop filming on Friday. After a quick two hours of rest, Richie was rushed through makeup and had no time to stop and eat any food.

After she began to feel dizzy of dehydration, the 25-year-old was examined by a doctor on the set of the show and producers then rushed her to the hospital. According to E! News, she was given intravenous fluids for 15 minutes and then released.

The friend said: “The producers overreacted; she didn’t need to go to the hospital.”

However, Richie’s rep said: “She is home, resting and will return to work soon. We are proud of the weight that she is gaining and her focus on her health.”

Meanwhile, the upcoming season of The Simple Life features Richie and best friend Paris Hilton working as camp counselors.
