Stepping out for a bite to eat, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were spotted grabbing up lunch in Studio City, California on Monday afternoon (January 11).

Looking to be in a rush, the former "Simple Life" star and her Good Charlotte rocker hubby were busy all morning doting on their 2-year-old birthday girl daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden.

Of the occasion, Nicole continued her string of birthday tweets, most recently writing, ""Harlow & Mary J. Blige are having a joint birthday party tonight. I wasn't invited. But I heard it's gonna be POPPIN"!!"

Meanwhile, Joel was also up and tweeting, “Happy Birthday to the most beautiful little girl in the world. Harlow makes me proud every. single. Day. i’m blessed.”
