Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Cheer On Lakers
Joining a star-studded crowd at the Staples Center on Sunday night, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden showed up to cheer the Los Angeles Lakers to a Game 5 win over the Boston Celtics.
Besides checking out the local sports scene, the former Simple Life star and her Good Charlotte rocker beau have been the focus of wedding rumors - which Joel recently spoke up about.
Madden, 30, posted a joking message on his blog over the weekend, which read: “WE DID IT!! NICOLE AND I FINALLY GOT MARRIED!! Click here for pictures!!”
Spoofing a false report from Star magazine, which claimed that he was planning a $2 million wedding, Joel continued: “HAHA. JUST KIDDING. So I feel really stupid even posting this, but I’ve been getting calls and texts from my family all week asking me why they weren’t invited to my wedding.”
“I guess the only answer I could give them was that I didn’t know we were having one!” he added. “So I just found that Star magazine wrote some story about a 2 MILLION dollar wedding we are supposed to be having, and that’s where it came from. Sooooo if you were pi--ed at me for not inviting you or even telling you, don’t blame me, there’s nothing to worry about,” Madden wrote. “It’s just Star magazine. How long do you think it will be before they write we called it off, or we broke up? I give them a week or two.......”
