Nicole Kidman Dazzles “Golden Compass” Premiere
Movie premieres are always fun. There’s the excitement of a new film, and the glamour of the movie’s stars arriving in the latest fashions. And Nicole Kidman lit up the red carpet as she showed up to promote her new film “The Golden Compass.”
Kidman, 40, was escorted to the event by her hunky country music rock star husband Keith Urban. They were joined on the red carpet by “James Bond” himself, Daniel Craig, as well as 13-year-old co-star Dakota Blue-Richards.
Of her villain role in the film, Kidman told press she was excited to have the chance to depart from her usual roles. “It’s rare that I bring such a dramatic, dark character to the screen. This was a great opportunity.”
Daniel Craig was also enthusiastic about the premiere. “It’s always good and exciting when the crowd is as big as this. The Philip Pullman books are beautifully written. He is one of the best writers in this part of the century and most of the last. They are incredible books and I couldn’t wait to get involved.”
