Ne-yo Favors Pussycat Doll Over Britney

Reality check: most of the songs you hear on pop radio aren’t written by the artists singing them. I’ll let the shock wear off before telling you that Britney Spears may not be privy to R&B songwriter Ne-yo’s new songs for her. 

Spear’s stint in rehab after a widely publicized breakdown may prove to be detrimental to her “comeback” album’s chances.  The pop singer failed to show up to four scheduled studio sessions with Ne-yo.  Originally, Ne-yo said he would forgive and forget, but now it looks like Pussycat Doll’s frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger may be the lucky girl to get the songs.

Ne-yo explains, “We set up no less than four sessions for Britney to just come and listen to the songs I wrote for her. She never showed up.
“I think they want me to hold these songs that I’ve written until she finishes going through her thing. But a couple might be perfect for The Pussycat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger, so...”

Let’s hope that all this negative press doesn’t deter Britney from finishing her stay in rehab and getting back to who she needs to be.  A career in music isn’t nearly as important as being a stable, healthy mother for two beautiful sons.
