Naomi Campbell Sentenced To Mop Duties

After a recent sentencing, it appears as if Naomi Campbell will be mopping floors at New York’s Sanitation Department, according to a court official.

Campbell was given a small fine and sentenced to 5 days of community service as a punishment for throwing her jewel-encrusted mobile phone at her housekeeper.

The New York Post has just reported that Naomi has been assigned to mop floors with other community service workers at a Sanitation Department warehouse in Manhattan, beginning on March 19th. A court official confirmed the story but declined further comment.

It is a growing trend for judges to hand out ‘alternative’ sentences such as this. A prime example is Boy George, who was found guilty of lying to police about a burglary. The judge sentenced the musician to the task of sweeping the streets in a bright orange jacket. Talk about an amusing scene! Fortunately for Naomi, she gets to perform her duties indoors.
