NAACP Image Awards Announces Nominees
The NAACP Image Awards nominations ceremony was hosted at the Beverly Hills hotel in Los Angeles, California this morning (January 7) - and stars such as Corbin Bleu, Kiki Palmer, Regina Taylor, and Nate Parker all dressed up for the big occasion.
As for this year’s contenders, Beyonce Knowles, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson were all triple threats, receiving numerous nominations in music and film categories.
Knowles, Keys and Hudson are all categorized together for outstanding female music artist and for best music video. Keys and Hudson struck again, adding another nomination for supporting film actress.
“Cadillac Records” and “The Secret Life of Bees” are best-picture candidates as well as “Miracle at St. Anna,” “Seven Pounds” and “Tyler Perry’s the Family That Preys.”
The Image Awards, which applauses diversity, will be presented February 12.
