Saturday, April 05, 2008 Miley Cyrus Keeps Breaking Records
Miley Cyrus has been working her tail off on her new album, and yesterday the paps caught up with her on the way to the studio once again. And as always, the “Hannah Montana” actress seemed pleasant and smiled for the shutterbugs. And why shouldn’t she be smiling? She just set a new record at Brigham Young University for fastest event sell-out in history- 58,000 tickets in ten minutes.
The 15-year-old singer/actress is the main attraction at this year’s Stadium of Fire at Lavell Edwards Stadium on BYU’s campus. And if you weren’t quick yesterday, you didn’t get a ticket. Brad Pelo, the show’s executive producer told press, “We’ve always sold out at these shows. I think the Beach Boys sold out in two weeks.” But that was nothing compared to Miley’s 10-minute sell-out. “Cyrus’ recent concert at the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City sold out quickly, too,” he continued. “But it was only something like a 13,000-seat concert. By contrast, the stadium blasted through 58,500 ticket sales. That’s 97.5 sales per second Friday evening.” Enjoy the pictures of Miley heading to the studio for another day of work (April 4).
