Miley Cyrus: In the Driver’s Seat

Finally able to get behind the wheel, Miley Cyrus was spotted in the driver’s seat as she and her mom Leticia “Tish” Cyrus headed out for a cruise in Los Angeles on Monday (December 8).

Amidst a variety of funny faces and poses, the now 16-year-old “Hannah Montana” starlet happily showed off her learners permit - a prerequisite before she’s actually allowed to drive on her own.

Meanwhile, Miss Cyrus will surely have her pick when it comes to a first car, as her merchandise continues to fly off the racks despite the current economic downturn.

According to Reuters, Miley was tops in 2008 when it comes to the number of items sold on the popular shopping Web site EBay, with “some 223,139 ‘Hannah Montana’ related-items, ranging from buttons, to clothes and posters, exchanging hands during the year.”

“When someone or something excites the American public, you immediately see a surge of related listings pop up on eBay,” said Karen Bard, eBay’s pop culture expert.
