Miley Cyrus Hits the Beach for "The Last Song"

Following a morning of wave running with her kid sister, Miley Cyrus got to work on the set of "The Last Song" in Tybee Island, Georgia on Friday (June 19).

The "Hannah Montana" cutie walked along the beach, chatting with on-set workers and her co-stars during breaks in the action.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that Kelly Preston will be playing Miley's mother in the Disney flick, getting back to work for the first time since the tragic passing of her song son, Jett, back in January.

Due out in January 2010, the film also finds actor Greg Kinnear playing the estranged father.
