Thursday, January 01, 2009 Miley Cyrus Has a Miley-Sized New Year’s Eve
Spending her New Year’s Eve at school, Miley Cyrus took the stage for “FNMTV Presents: A Miley-Sized Surprise New Year’s Eve 2009” at Arnold O’Beckman High School in Irvine, California last night (December 31). The Disney starlet was there presenting a personal concert to a contest-winning high school student named Alison Kaprielian, a senior who volunteers for the Pink Ribbon Club to raise breast cancer awareness. As for her reason for choosing breast cancer awareness, Miss Kaprielian’s mother Barbara is currently receiving treatment for the disease. “Alison is one of those very outgoing kinds of kids,” her mother told press. “She’s found a lot of passion in what she does and when she finds that, she goes all out. She’s really a great leader. She looked at me and said, ‘Mom, I really want to do this because of you.’” Joining Miss Cyrus for the very special evening was her brother, Trace Cyrus, who performed with his band Metro Station.
