Michael Phelps Emerges Post-Bong Controversy
Getting back to the pool, Michael Phelps was spotted arriving at a Baltimore swimming complex with beefed up security this afternoon (February 3).
This happens to be the first sighting of the Olympic record holder since photographs emerged of Phelps smoking a bong at a college party in a British tabloid newspaper at the weekend.
According to paps on the scene, “Phelps looked unimpressed to see a photographer and was swiftly escorted into the building by his shaven headed minder, avoiding questions about possible Olympic bans.”
And though he’s come under criticism for his actions, Phelps has a supporter in Tommy Chong from “Cheech and Chong” stardom.
The aging hippie was interviewed on the street yesterday by TMZ, saying that he thinks “Phelps deserves another gold medal for his hard-hitting style.”
