Michael Jackson: Not a Good Credit Risk

With the bevy of lawyers on his payroll, you’d think that Michael Jackson would be better at keeping them well-paid and happy. But you’d be wrong.

A lawsuit filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court by high profile lawyers from the firm of Lavely & Singer states that the King of Pop owes them $113,750 in legal fees.

The amount owed is a remaining balance of the original $180,000 he owed the legal team. Apparently Jacko set up a payment plan to chip away at the amount, but he stopped paying prematurely.

This is the second time in a year that the Beat It singer tried to beat his legal fees by not paying. Back in June, he was sued by a Delaware-based law firm for nonpayment of $109,994.48 in past due charges.
