Meg Ryan and Tobey Maguire Talk Parenting

With so much emphasis placed on celebrity parenting gone wrong, the one’s who actually do a good job seem to be much too easily forgotten.

Hollywood stars Meg Ryan and Tobey Maguire are two prime examples, with Meg adopting and Tobey becoming a father “naturally’.

Meg took a several year break just to prepare for her daughter Daisy, a Chinese adoptee.

“I am convinced, completely convinced that there was nothing random about (the adoption),” Meg told a US women’s magazine. “She is the daughter I should have.” Ryan adopted her daughter back in January 2006.

“I never felt I was on a rescue mission or anything like that. I just really wanted a baby; I was on a mission to connect with somebody, and Daisy and I got to meet each other in this way at this time. We are so compatible,” the actress added.

Forty-five-year-old Meg, who is set to appear in the upcoming In The Land Of Women alongside Adam Brody, describes herself as fulfilled both in her home-life and her career.

“This is the best time in my whole life,” she enthuses.

If you wanna go the “natural route” then talk to Tobey Maguire.  He became a daddy the good old fashioned way last November. 

“I love being a dad,” the Spiderman star told press at the Spider Man 3 junket.  “It’s like everybody says, all the clichés are true - it’s indescribable and you just have to be there to understand it. You know, you don’t really get it until you’re there.”

With so much attention and distraction, it’s comforting to know that there are a few really good parents raising the next generation of celeb kids.
