Mariah Carey Talks “Precious” Role
She’s usually looking top-notch, with designer duds and hair and makeup artists at her disposal, but Mariah Carey had to forgo all of that for her role in the new drama “Precious.”
In the flick, the “Always Be My Baby” songstress plays an 80s-era hard knock social worker, and she has the run-down look to go with the part.
Of her less-than-attractive appearance in the film, Mariah told press, “It wasn’t just de-glamorized. They added some hideousness on top of that too. I drank some ugly juice.”
Costar Gabourey Sidibe told press, “She hated her wardrobe! It was the funniest thing. Like the first day of school or something, where you’re not wearing the right socks and the whole outfit’s ruined.”
