Mariah Carey Celebrates 75th Anniversary of Apollo

Her singing career is the definition of longevity, and last night (June 8) Mariah Carey paid tribute to another long-running entity in pop culture at the 75th Anniversary Gala at The Apollo Theater.

The “Touch My Body” songstress looked simply stunning as she arrived at the iconic venue sporting a cleavage-baring black dress with long wispy tresses.

In related news, Mariah recently spoke up about Susan Boyle’s nervous breakdown following her loss on “Britain’s Got Talent.”

Carey (who suffered her own mental/physical breakdown back in ’01) stated, “I feel bad for her… We build people up so quickly now that of course it’s going to freak some people out. It’s difficult. It’s got to be tough.”
