Maggie Gyllenhaal: Animal Lover

Though we’re used to seeing her showing off her acting abilities on the silver screen, earlier today Maggie Gyllenhaal was all about being charitable.

The “Stranger Than Fiction” actress was spotted at the launch of Precious Planet at the Central Park Zoo in New York City.  Together with Fisher-Price, Gyllenhaal helped to donate $250,000 to the Wildlife Conservation Society.

And Maggie displayed her trademark fashion sense as she posed for the paparazzi, sporting a longsleeved black shin-length dress with a red bow belt and black leather boots.

Up next on the acting front, Gyllenhaal is slated to star alongside Colin Farrell and Jeff Bridges in “Crazy Heart,” based on the Thomas Cobb novel.
