Madonna: Playing Around with Alex Rodriguez?

In the ongoing saga that is Madonna’s possible divorce, a new theory has emerged as the reason for the “Like A Virgin” singer’s rumored split from her hubby of seven years.

Apparently Madge has shown an interest in New York Yankees star player Alex Rodriguez, who faced speculation about cheating on his wife (and mother of his two kids) back in 2007 when he and a stripper were spotted vacationing in Toronto, Miami, and Dallas.

According to a source, A-Rod has been meeting Madonna at her home in New York City and sneaking out as late as midnight. “All the doormen are talking” says the source.

Back on April 30th, the baseball stud was spotted at the Material Girl’s concert in the Big Apple. In return, Madonna sat in Alex’s seats at the June 22nd Yankees home game.

Update: Madonna's rep, Liz Rosenberg, responded to the A-Rod rumors by telling People magazine: “Madonna’s husband Guy arrived in New York last night to be with his wife and family (not in a last ditch attempt to save his marriage which does not need saving). There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce. Madonna and Alex have the same manager, Guy Oseary. They have met. They know each other and Madonna took her kids to a Yankees game last week. There’s really not anything to comment on beyond that. It’s nothing new that people are airing tons of dirty laundry Madonna’s way lately – much of it untrue.”
