Lindsay Lohan Pleads “No Contest”, Gets 1 Day In Jail
Lindsay Lohan was charged this morning with seven misdemeanors in association with two past drunken-driving arrests. While for most people this would be a troubling scenario, for Lindsay, it all comes as good news. The reason? LiLo skirted the more serious felony drug charges because tests showed there wasn’t enough cocaine on her to warrant them.
And more recently, the Georgia Rule actress has been able to avoid the humiliation of a public trial by striking a deal with prosecutors.
According to breaking reports from TMZ, Lindsay quickly “pleaded no contest to two counts of DUI. By law, Lohan becomes a second offender (with two DUIs) and must serve a minimum of four days in jail.”
“Lohan also pleaded no contest to two counts of being under the influence of a controlled substance (two separate incidents) and reckless driving - all misdemeanors.”
As a result, the Los Angeles Superior Court judge gave Lindsay 4 days in jail (the minimum allowed by California law), “but the judge cut that in half by ordering her to perform 10 days of community service in lieu of two of the days. He also gave Lindsay one day credit for time served when she was busted. That means she gets a grand total of one day in jail.”
In addition, the Mean Girls actress is also required to enroll in a drug program and “stay for an unspecified amount of time at the Utah facility where she’s currently in rehab.”
Seeing that Paris Hilton got 23 days for much less severe offenses, one could say that LiLo lucked out.

This looks more like a summer camp for grown ups. I doubt she will change. Lack of guidance and plenty of money seems to be the norm of those girls that seem to get away with everything. Instead of this luxury “rehab” she in it, what about send her to really work on helping the less fortunate or disaster victims, orphans and so on? That seemed to have changed Angelina Jolie…

This sentence is on par with anyone else who would have gotten their second DUI. Hopefully the light sentence will not go to her head…

This is freaking ridiculous. If it was anyone else (who isnt a celebrity) we all know they would have been felony charges and they would have received years in the slammer. I hate how celebrities get away with everything. Hopefully she will screw up again and actually go to jail for awhile. Screw blaming it on the parents.. thats no excuse. I had a worse time growing up than she did (I was physically and emotionally abused by my dad, suffered from long-term depression and diagnosed bipolar due to the abuse from my dad and spent months in the psycho ward on 24/7 suicide watch and self-mutilated myself) but you dont see me out drinking and driving, putting other lives at danger.

you know what gives me the shits! Ppl whinging about gossip sites and such! u know what u dumbasses, celebrities r paid so much money so it compansates the non existant private life, you don’t get one without the other!!! and also, don’t whinge bout it on gossip sites, cause obviously ur on here reading the stories and therefore ur endorsing it! goshhhhhh!
