Lindsay Lohan Deals With Legal Woes
Sure she’s admitted to being a little out of control over the past year. And she has the rap sheet to prove it. But Lindsay Lohan is claiming that a negligence suit being filed against her from her 2005 car crash is totally bogus.
This past Friday, the Mean Girls actress filed a 10-page report that attempts to nullify a lawsuit brought against her by Raymundo Ortega. Her lawyer, Alfred Gerisch asserts that Ortega’s claim that LiLo was drunk during the time of the accident is merely an attempt to cash in on her recent indiscretions, rather than a factual account of the incident.
Gerisch told press, “These are nothing but inflammatory statements. The mere presence of this type of allegation in the complaint is an attempt to embarrass (Lohan) with false allegations in order to use it as a battering ram to force a settlement.”
And Ortega has another factor working against him in his quest to extract money from the actress. The accident was actually his fault! He pulled an illegal U-turn, which caused the collision.
