Lindsay Lohan: Booked In Jail, Out On Bail

Continuing to take a proactive approach in an attempt to avoid a Paris Hilton-like jailhouse fate, actress Lindsay Lohan surrendered to Beverly Hills Police late Thursday afternoon in connection with her Memorial Day weekend DUI.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s website, LiLo was taken into custody at about 4 p.m. and booked 15 minutes later. She was released in a swift hour’s time in lieu of $30,000 bail.

According to TMZ sources, “This was simply a routine process, as often times people arrested for driving under the influence are simply cited and released.”

With a court date of August 24th, Lindsay can now only hope that her voluntary rehab stay will be enough to keep the judge happy - and her free.
