Sunday, August 19, 2007 Lily Allen Is Mad At George Bush
As most of you know by now, Lily Allen has been forced to postpone her upcoming US tour because of a recent working visa revocation. Well, it seems that Lily is handling the situation the best she knows how… by getting mad and yelling at, well, pretty much everyone. On Saturday (August 18), the Smile singer started things off by letting loose on President Bush during her performance at England’s V Festival. The concert, held at Weston Park in Stafford, played house to Lily’s latest tantrum. The outspoken London native spouted off, “This next one is about people who are awkward on the train, U.S. immigration officials and George Bush in general.” Getting caught up in the moment, Lily moved in a different direction, saying, “Who else can f**k off? People who edit fashion magazines… that makes us ladies feel awful. We’re all beautiful - it’s the heroin addict models who’ve got the problem.” Meanwhile, a more composed Allen tells in her blog: “I am so disappointed that I won’t be able to come to the States at this time. I was really looking forward to playing these shows and being part of the Video Music Awards. I want my fans to know that I’ll be back as soon as I possibly can!’ But if she continues bad-mouthing the people who can let her in, Lily may find herself looking in from across the pond for a long time to come. Enjoy the photos of Lily performing at V Festival (August 18), and near her home in London (August 17).
