Lily Allen Calls Revoked Visa Claims “Rubbish”
According to English singer/songwriter Lily Allen, reports that she has had her US working visa revoked are complete “rubbish”.
The claims made headlines on Tuesday (August 7), after the “Smile” crooner was held by customs and immigration officials in Los Angeles on Sunday. At the time, Lily was on her way from Australia to Las Vegas for the MTV Video Music Awards nominations party.
According to press reports, “Officials were reportedly interested in Allen’s March arrest in London following an alleged altercation with a photographer. She was cautioned for the incident after voluntarily attending a police station in June.”
After the brief detainment, Lily was allowed entry into the States and ended up making it in time for her MTV TRL appearance.
Per Lily’s manager, Neale Easterby, the singer’s American tour slated to begin in September will go ahead as planned, adding, “She’s in Las Vegas right now. She will be there until Thursday shooting a video with Common and Kanye West for Common’s track Drivin’ Me Wild.”
