Leighton Meester: Back In New York City

Over the weekend she was out on the West Coast for all of the 2008 Teen Choice action in Los Angeles.  But last night Leighton Meester returned to New York City, home of her hit show Gossip Girl.

The brunette babe touched down at John F Kennedy International Airport late Monday night after a long trans-American flight looking a bit disheveled sans makeup.

But like a responsible dog owner, Miss Meester made sure to give her pooch a proper stroll around the outside of the airport before hopping into a waiting car and heading back home.

Filming for the new season of Gossip Girl resumes this week, and there’s plenty of work to get done before the first episode hits the airwaves September 1st.
