Kylie Minogue, Keira Knightley Win Elle Awards
If you happened to be in West London last night, you probably noticed an influx of beautiful people. That’s because the Elle Style Awards were being held in Notting Hill.
And entertainment’s brightest and best were honored with their very own Elle. Kylie Minogue was named the “Woman of the Year” and looked stunning in a strappy belted gown and short blonde bob.
“Pirates of the Caribbean” actress Keira Knightley took home the “Best Actress” trophy, while her “Atonement” co-star James McAvoy claimed the title “Best Actor.”
And they even gave out an award to a Yankee - Kate Hudson was named “Elle Style Icon” for her “distinctive and kooky” fashion sense. Also in attendance were Kelly Brook, Holly Willoughby, and Louise Redknapp.

Kylie Minogue woman of the year!!!!!! When do I stop laughing? How many women are there on this planet - about 3 billion - and she was selected as the best? But hold on, she was selected by a glossy “women’s” magazine, the existence of which is to promote everything Kylie herself stands for - self-promotion, sexualization of the female image, over-consumption of so-called “designer goods”, etc, etc, etc. When has this woman been noted for doing anything for anyone else? Kylie’s life is all about Kylie, always has been and continues to be so. Sure she got cancer, but that doesn’t make her a saint. So do millions of others. There is more to admire in the women in my street who get up and go about their daily lives than there will ever be in Ms Minogue.
