Kristen Stewart Talks “The Runaways”

Her new movie “The Runaways” hits theaters April 9th, and Kristen Stewart recently shared her gratitude that she was able to score the role of Joan Jett.

“I was really lucky to have her be so into the project and so open about it, because not a lot of people my age know about The Runaways and it was the most important part of her life and kick-started her career.”

The “Twilight” babe continued, “And also, they were the first girl band. They were the first girls to ever play aggressive, sexual assertive rock and roll.”

As for her recent string of awards, Kristen admitted that she’s nervous when it comes to handling the trophies. “I have had some bad moments in the past. I once dropped an award and it bounced off the stage and smashed. It was horrendous, possibly one of the worst things that could happen at an awards ceremony. I am pretty clumsy so it was kind of appropriate that it was me who did it.”
