Knife Wielding Vanessa Minnillo
Nick Lachey may want to keep an eye on his girlfriend in the kitchen. It appears she has a thing for knives, and that can be dangerous. It was revealed that the girl holding the knife to Lindsay Lohan’s throat in the party pictures all over the Internet is Vanessa Minnillo.
The brunette cutie may actually be in for some rough times as a result of the photos, which ran yesterday in the New York Post. Even though they were supposedly from last summer, Minnillo will be facing consequences pertaining to her television career.
Vanessa is the former host of MTV’s TRL and also worked on Entertainment Tonight as a New York correspondent. But with her contracts at both Viacom stations not being renewed, it looks as though she’s worn out her welcome.
Some say it’s her diva-like behavior that has soured her former employers on keeping her around. A source at ET told press about Minnillo’s assignment to cover the Grammys this past February. “She insisted they fly her own hair and makeup people and her personal assistant out with her every time she flew to L.A. She only flew first class and stayed at the Four Seasons, and then she didn’t want to work.”
“Vanessa wants to be a celebrity, not interview them,” said the source. “She wouldn’t conduct post-show interviews because she wanted to party. She expected to be paid a full-time salary for a part-time job.” As a result, she was not contracted to cover the Academy Awards a month later.
But the Minnillo camp sees it another way. “She chose to leave ‘ET’ because her contract ended. This is the first I’ve heard about any bad behavior,” her rep told press.
