Robert Pattinson Focuses On Edward Cullen
Twilight’s Robert Pattinson knows how to stay faithful. The sexy star has pulled himself out of “Parts Per Billion”, an independent film he was to start shooting in Los Angeles this month, so that he can focus on his character Edward Cullen.
“Unfortunately, the prep time and production schedule on New Moon haven’t left enough time for Robert to work on Parts Per Billion in the first quarter of this year,” Pattinson’s agent, Nicholas Frenkel, told MTV.
No announcements have been made telling who will take the ladies man’s place in the indie film by Rosario Dawson.
Pattinson was going to have some very lustful scenes with actress Olivia Thirlby, but fans will have to wait. Pattinson will, however, be starring in “Little Ashes” and “How to Be.”

Britney Spears Releases Holiday Family Photos
Looking classy in a little black number while matching her adorable son Jayden, 2, who was in a little tuxedo, Britney Spears was all smiles in her new New Year’s Eve home photos she posted on her Web site today (January 7).
The songstress celebrated New Year’s Eve at her older brother Bryan’s wedding in Amite, Louisiana, and then in New Orleans. He tied the knot at a private ceremony with Graciellla Sanchez, Jamie Lynn’s manager.
A source from Us magazine said, “It was really sweet. Only close family and a few friends [attended]. It was a great way to ring in the New Year.”
As far as New Year’s resolutions, Spears’ said, “I would like to stop worrying so much because I worry all the time. And to learn how to be happier, just in general.”
She also added, “And to stop biting my nails.”

Heather and Richie Cheer On Ava Elizabeth
Sure, they may be divorced, but Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora are still all about supporting their daughter in every way.
The Bon Jovi rocker and his “Melrose Place” ex-wife were spotted having a great time together at their daughter Ava Elizabeth Sambora’s soccer game at View Point School in Calabasas, California yesterday (January 6).
Miss Locklear recently received some good news regarding her DUI charge- as a result of a plea deal, she’s only being charged with reckless driving, a much less serious offense.
As part of the deal, she’ll pay a $700 fine and be under informal probation for three years as well as be forced to attend a 12-hour drug education course.

Patrick Swayze Talks Cancer Battle
It’s been an up-and-down battle for Patirck Swayze as of late. And as he’s struggled with pancreatic cancer, the “Dirty Dancing” stud says he’s hopeful for the best.
In a special interview with Barbara Walters called “Patrick Swayze: The Truth,” he confesses that while he’s in decent health at the moment, he also realizes that things could go downhill very quickly.
He reveals, “I’d say five years [to live] is pretty wishful thinking. Two years seems likely if you’re going to believe statistics. I want to last until they find a cure, which means I’d better get a fire under it.”
Swayze also tells that he’s not giving up his fight, regardless of the odds. “When do you decide the fight isn’t matching up to your quality of life? So far, I’ve got potential for a lot of quality of life.”

Lily Allen Defends Drugs
Continuing her preparation for a big comeback in 2009, Lily Allen was spotted in the company of her bandmates earlier today in the Notting Hill district of London.
The “LDN” songstress looked to be having a wonderful time with her musician friends as they all took a lunch break from their studio session.
And though she’s struggled with drug and alcohol abuse in the past, it doesn’t seem that Miss Allen has yet come to terms with the dangers associated with substance abuse.
Lily recently told press, “The only story is that drugs are bad and they will kill you - you will become a prostitute, a rapist or a dealer. But that’s not true. I know lots of people who take cocaine three nights a week and get up and go to work. But we never hear that side of the story. I wish people wouldn’t sensationalize it. Some people are just bad at taking drugs.”
She continued, “I felt like a lonely child, when everybody else was doing it and I wasn’t. That’s why I took cocaine when I didn’t even like it. I was brought up in a Catholic school and they told me gays, adultery and drugs were bad. All my mum’s friends were gay, my dad was having affairs and there were drugs in the house when I was a kid, so it was a bit cruel.”
She also mourned the sad state of the recording industry these days. “Twenty years ago, I’d have been booked in at the Ritz with five grams of cocaine on my table and 10 bunches of flowers. Some new clothes. A chauffeur on 24-hour call. Now I’m lucky to get an Oyster card. I ask for a hotel in Paris and I get a two-star place in the eighth arrondissement on my own. I’m like: ‘Do you want me to get raped and killed?’”

Selena Gomez’s Tinkerbell Transformation
Just when we thought she couldn’t get any more adorable, Selena Gomez takes her cuteness to a whole new level on an upcoming episode of “The Wizards of Waverly Place.”
The brunette beauty will be appearing as “Peter Pan” character Tinkerbell on the Sunday, January 18th episode of her hit Disney show.
During the episode (titled Fairy Tale) Gomez’s character Alex takes over for her best friend Harper in their school’s production of “Peter Pan.”
In addition, Selena’s new flick “Another Cinderella Story” will be airing on ABC Family this Sunday at 8pm as part of the network’s Cinderella Sunday.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony: On the Mend?
Though they’ve been recently plagued with divorce rumors, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are reportedly doing just fine, as evidenced by their holiday trip to Puerto Rico.
The “Waiting for Tonight” songstress and her “I Need to Know” crooner hubby were acting normal during their tropical getaway, according to the Puerto Rican newspaper El Voce, and they even looked at buying some property at Trump’s International Gulf Club during their stay.
At the same time, Marc and Jennifer have been experiencing some fighting as of late, but according to an inside source, it’s nothing out of the ordinary. “They have been having problems, like in any marriage. They’ve been arguing.”
Another source added, “The marriage is experiencing frustrations because of the added stress of the twins, but they will work things out. They love each other, and that will dictate what happens. I don’t think divorce is in the picture.”

Brad Pitt Clears Up Cheating Rumors
Ever since he hooked up with Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt has been constantly plagued with speculation over being a cheat. And he’s clearing things up once and for all.
In the latest issue of W magazine, the “Fight Club” stud directly addresses the issue of his rumored affair with his babymama while still married to Jennifer Aniston.
Pitt reveals, “What people don’t understand is that we filmed for a year. We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t. I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful.”
He also expresses regret over his ex being involved in the media hype. “Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created.”
Pitt adds, “We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don’t see how there cannot be [that]. That’s life, man. That’s life.”

Sex and the City Sequel: Green Light
From book to television to movie, “Sex and the City” has always been overwhelmingly successful. And now plans for a sequel to 2008’s “Sex and the City: The Movie” are full speed ahead.
According to FOX Pop Tarts’ Hollie McKay, plans for a follow-up to last year’s uber-hit have been green-lighted, with all four main cast members securing deals with the studio.
And this good news comes at a good time for Sarah Jessica Parker, who, according to Star magazine, is in the process of moving out of the NYC pad she shares with husband Matthew Broderick.
The tabloid quotes a source as saying, “The time has come when she realizes it just isn’t worth it. Sarah Jessica is determined to get her own place and bring down the curtain on her marriage… Sarah’s not stupid. She knows exactly what’s going on. For a while it was easier for her to stay than go through a harsh divorce. They’re essentially living separate lives.”

Paris Hilton: Back in the States
Following an amazing trip to Australia, Paris Hilton was spotted back in Los Angeles yesterday running errands and looking refreshed.
The “Hottie and the Nottie” babe headed over to Kate Somerville Skin Health Experts clinic on Melrose to pick up a few items, smiling as she passed the paparazzi.
Earlier in the day, Miss Hilton and her BFF Brittany Flickinger actually arrived back in the US, spotted at LAX International Airport looking excited to be back home.
Despite the obvious jet lag, Paris seemed upbeat, sporting a funky zebra t-shirt as well as a pair of sunglasses as she made her way through the terminal.
