Nicole Kidman Receives Aussie Award

Nicole Kidman was awarded Australia’s top civil honor, the Companion of the Order of Australia, on Friday.

Seen as an equivalent to an English knighthood, the award was bestowed upon Kidman for her work promoting women and children’s health and cancer research.

“It’s a pat on the back, which as a little girl is something you dream of,” Kidman remarked after receiving the award.

Reported by JustJared, the 39-year-old Aussie actress took part in a ceremony at Government House, Yarralumla on Friday in Canberra, Australia. Her husband, Keith Urban, and parents were all present for the ceremony.

Our congratulations go out to Nicole, who has recently been fighting off pregnancy rumors… which she has labeled as ridiculous.
