Kelly Osbourne Talks Addiction Woes
Last month she completed her third stint in rehab, and in a recent interview Kelly Osbourne told press that her struggle with substance abuse has been ongoing since she was a teenager.
Speaking with People magazine, the 24-year-old entertainer revealed, “I had my tonsils taken out [at age 13], and they gave me liquid Vicodin. I found, when I take this, people like me. I’m having fun, I’m not getting picked on. It became a confidence thing.”
And though she spent time in rehab back in 2004 and 2005, Kelly says she’s never really been clean and sober until now. “I knew if I didn’t get help, I would die. I’m getting a second chance [at my career],” she says, “and I want to be present for it.”
Coming up on March 31st, Kelly and the rest of her crazy family will reunite for the FOX special “Osbournes Reloaded,” a variety show where there’s never a dull moment.
