Katie Holmes: Out in the Big Apple

Getting to know the neighborhood around her apartment a bit, Katie Holmes was spotted meandering around Manhattan earlier today prior to her daily “All My Sons” rehearsal.

The “Dawson’s Creek” darling looked rather drab in a white v-neck shirt underneath a light grey cardigan with a dark grey scarf teamed with shiny black leggings and black flats.

Speaking of “Dawson’s Creek,” Katie recently received a surprise visit from her former co-star/ex-boyfriend Joshua Jackson who was popping in to make sure she was doing okay.

An inside source told press, “Katie has been looking skinny and depressed and, like any concerned friend, rather than do nothing Joshua wanted to check everything was ok. They haven’t spoken in a while and, naturally, he was worried.”

“So he just decided to drop by. It was really sweet, he just turned up unexpectedly with a bunch of flowers and said, ‘Hello stranger’. Katie was shocked, but so happy to see him. It was a wonderful surprise. She gave him such a big hug.”

The source added that Jackson reassured Holmes that even though she’s caught up in the whole Scientology thing, she still has friends on the outside that are there for her. “Joshua made it clear she wasn’t alone. He’s not out to cause trouble. Josh would love to see Katie as the carefree and relaxed woman he once knew.”
