Katie Holmes: Gearing Up for Grand Opening

With the grand opening of her Broadway show “All My Sons” in just over a week, Katie Holmes is getting geared up for success. And earlier today she was spotted leaving her Soho apartment on her way to the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.

The “Dawson’s Creek” darling looked casual-yet-stylish in a white jacket with a black blouse teamed with distressed jeans and a pair of black heels.

And it sounds like Holmes will be doing more than just acting in the October 21st episode of “Eli Stone.” She’ll also be showing off her singing skills.

According to the show’s executive producer Marc Guggenheim, Katie “knocked it out of the park” when it came time to belt out a performance of Duke Ellington’s jazz classic “Hit Me With a Hot Note.”

He told press, “The first time I heard her sing, I was like ‘Who are you?’ She is a revelation. It was a great experience for us—and hopefully for her, too!”
