Katie Holmes: Eyeing Role Opposite Tom Cruise?
After spending the previous day with her 2-year-old daughter Suri, Katie Holmes was spotted leaving her New York City apartment solo on what was a chilly Sunday morning (November 23).
With security by her side, the former “Dawson’s Creek” cutie was loaded into an awaiting SUV and whisked away for her matinee performance of “All My Sons” at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
Meanwhile, tabloid rumors tell that Katie and her “Top Gun” hubby Tom Cruise are on the hunt for movie roles where they can star opposite one another.
“They’re looking at remaking Last Tango In Paris, but anything sexy with a good story appeals,” a studio executive told Now magazine. “Tom’s looking for something that’s cutting edge and sexy, but also accessible.”
The insider adds, “He’s thinking along the lines of Basic Instinct – a movie that has a mainstream plot, but also some intense sex stuff. He hasn’t found the script yet, but both he and Katie are reading a few that could fit the bill.”
