Katie Couric’s New (Young!) Man

With rumors emerging in the recent weeks, it is now being confirmed that Katie Couric has indeed been enjoying the company of a much younger boyfriend.

The name being thrown about is Brooks L. Perlin, a handsome triathlete 17 years younger than Couric. The National Enquirer is expected to publish the first pictures of the duo later today.

The relationship first came to light when Gatecrasher reported that the two dined together March 28 at the Nolita restaurant Peasant. How Katie kept this under the radar is a good question.

“They have been dating for several months,” a close pal of the 50-year-old “CBS Evening News” anchor told the NY Daily News.

The Daily News also reported that, “the Enquirer has details on a romantic weekend (along with an alleged spat) the two had at Super Bowl time in Miami and says they have traveled together to Mexico and Sun Valley, Idaho.”

“Katie’s told us Brooks has a brilliant mind and comes from a great family in Darien, Conn.,” another source told the magazine.
