Kathy Hilton Looks Back On Paris’ Jail Time

Now that she’s had some time to process, Kathy Hilton is opening up about her feelings regarding her daughter Paris’ time in jail. And she’s not holding anything back.

According to the millionaire socialite, seeing Paris treated as in inmate broke her heart. She recounted to press how hard it was to see a guard, “grabbing Paris under the arm,” to pull her away at the conclusion of a visit.

And that was just the start. Kathy says that the trip home from jail, after Paris was released, was overwhelmingly stressful. “We were surrounded,” recalls Hilton. “There were six helicopters and a pink Hummer advertising bail bonds. We could not get rid of it. It was actually very clever marketing. But we could barely see. They were shining all these lights.”

As a homecoming gift, Kathy set up a room for Paris that “used to be the baby nursery for the grandchildren at (Paris’s grandfather’s) house. I had fresh, really soft towels, and really soft sheets and one of those really soft, cuddly (blankets) called ‘my blankey,’ and nice soft pillow cases.”

What was Paris’ reaction? “She went in, and she looked at the Fresh Farms soap, and she looked at the towels and the Evian water by her bedside. I wanted to make her feel really welcome. And we went downstairs and made a sandwich. And she ran outside with her doggie. And she ran, and she was screaming, ‘Oh, this feels so good. I feel so lucky.’ “
