Katherine Heigl’s Pre-Wedding Excitement
She’s getting married this weekend, and Katherine Heigl is letting the world know how happy she is about becoming Mrs. Josh Kelly.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” actress took awhile to warm-up to the idea of a winter wedding, though. She told press, “I kind of love it. It wasn’t my original idea. I originally wanted a more fall wedding back east, but I’ve end up really falling in love with the idea. I think it’s going to be super romantic.”
As for the vows, Heigl wanted to keep it classic, using a traditional script rather than writing her own. And the feel for the big day is definitely intimate. The “Knocked Up” actress said, “It’s really small. I tried to keep it under 100. I just really wanted close friends and family — people that I have a real relationship with to be there.”
Her choice of date was almost a natural paring down of the guest list. Of the people she invited, some guests had to decline. She explained, “It’s a really hard time of year. I actually almost felt bad asking people because I didn’t want anyone to feel pressure to be there but I just really wanted everyone to know they were included.”
And the dress? “I picked a dress that I felt worked best for my body. It’s a silhouette. I kind of do all the time… I really love that old Hollywood vibe, so I kind of always stick with that.”
