Katharine McPhee Gets Sexy, Tries Acting

American Idol is a great jumping-off point for many pop star hopefuls. But Katharine McPhee seems to be taking her celebrity to a place that Idol alumni have never gone before.

With her photo spread in Stuff magazine’s August issue, Katharine is proving that she’s one hot mama. The lack of clothes in her cover shot is a symptom of her seldom seen wild attitude.

She told press, “There are different sides of me. On American Idol, people saw the side that is very professional and put together. But there’s this other side of me that’s outgoing, energetic, and wild—and did really stupid things in college.”

And it’s that wild side that has McPhee trying out older men. “When I turned 21, I thought it was a good age to explore. You’re no longer a teenager, so it’s OK [to date older guys]. I gravitated toward them, and I love them. They’re just wiser, and they’re less about themselves and more about you.”

McPhee revealed her quirky way of expressing affection toward her man. “For me, with men, I will fixate on something. I’ll say, ‘I’m obsessed with your chin.’ I’ll kiss his chin and munch on it, and I think that makes people feel good.”

Well, there may be no “chin-munching” in her upcoming film career, but it’s still looking promising. Rumor has it that Katharine will be starring in a Happy Madison production in the not-too-distant future. She’s also working on a dark romantic comedy called “The Last Caller.”
