Kate Winslet: Still Basking in Oscar Glory
Heading off to take care of her daily duties, Kate Winslet wass seen leaving her apartment in New York City on Friday morning (March 6).
On this particular day, the “Revolutionary Road” beauty happened to be carrying a suspicious looking package under her arm - possibly her Oscar statue?
Of her big win at the Academy Awards and her beloved trophy, Kate previously told press: “The statue is going in the toilet, next to Sam’s (her husband Sam Mendes)! I’m not taking it on a set. I’m just going to work the way I’ve always worked, which is just to get on with it. I hope it won’t change anything in how other directors and actors work with me.”
Continuing on about plans of a relaxing break from the movie industry, Miss Winslet adds, “I am planning a summer of getting totally away from it all. We will probably rent a house in Italy and maybe visit our favorite haunt in Cornwall.”
