Kate Moss Single Again: Dumps Doherty

The unsteady relationship between supermodel Kate Moss and singer Pete Doherty has seemed like a train wreck waiting to happen. Two notorious drug abusers with fame, fortune, and youth. Fortunately enough, it appears as if Kate Moss is getting off board before its too late.

Doherty, the Babyshambles front man, was pictured in the Sun recently appearing to inject himself with cocaine during a trip to Thailand, shortly after jetting off for a break from his girlfriend, Moss.

During video footage published by the Sun, Doherty is seen with a needle and two other backpackers in a dingy shack and can be heard talking on the phone to someone, thought to be Kate Moss.

After this latest installment in the young singer’s long history of run-ins, Moss is said to have had enough.

A source told the Daily Mail that the pictures of Doherty prompted Moss to put the brakes on her relationship with Doherty, particularly as the images are said to have been taken just days after the couple staged a ‘commitment ceremony’ at the start of the new year in which they exchanged rings.

“Kate is understandably livid about these pictures,” the anonymous friend revealed.

“That they were taken just two days after their special commitment ceremony simply adds insult to injury.”

“Of course Kate still loves Pete and vice-versa but she’s a clever woman and knows that she has got to put her career first.”

Kate is reportedly planning to avoid being seen out with her ex-beau and putting some “distance” between the two.

The images were widely condemned, with campaigners criticizing Doherty for glamorizing drugs and urging him to address his addiction.

Peter Stoker, a spokesman for the National Drugs Prevention Alliance, said he was “encouraging other people to develop their own drug problems in the future”.

Doherty has been a frequent visitor to both rehab and court since he came to fame. Moss has had her share of problems as well.

It seems as if Kate has finally had enough.
